The Florida Board of Governors sets the minimum eligibility requirements in the State University System (SUS). Satisfying these minimum requirements does not guarantee admission to Florida State University. Admission is selective, and admitted students typically exceed the minimum requirements.

The completed application for admission and a nonrefundable $30.00 application fee should be submitted as soon as possible at the beginning of the senior year. Students can access the FSU institutional application online at https://admissions.fsu.edu/ or use the Common Application found at https://www.commonapp.org/.
Florida State admissions is selective with an acceptance rate of 37%. Students that get into Florida State have an average SAT score between 1180-1340 or an average ACT score of 26-30. The regular admissions application deadline for Florida State is March 1.
