After completing your first race and escaping afterwards (spoiler?) in the next mission you take from Hope, called Big Chief, she lets you in Stank Gums garage, that's one of the doors in the Underbelly, that was locked before.
Gastown makes no sense! In mad max gas town is like the best place to get guzzoline. But if gasoline is called guzzoline than why is gas town not called guztown? It was founded by people who still remember the old world, not wastelanders. Also Guzzoline comes from an unused line from the original script of the Road Warrior.
Best advice is max your speed, get the fire proof paint job, min your armour and make sure the thunderpoon is maxed before you get stuck in. Spam the 'poon and stick to the Chief as best you can. THIS MESSAGE IS IRRELEVANT! ~Mr. Torgue. Best load out Gastown race.
