Feb 2, 2024 · Goodwill accepts most new, like new, and gently used household items, clothing, shoes, accessories, furniture, electronics, books, and more. That said, local donation policies are always changing depending on need, so be sure to check out your local Goodwill donation center website to double-check what they're currently accepting.
Below are items that are generally accepted or not. Again, we recommend checking with your local Goodwill to confirm the donation acceptance guidelines in your area. Acceptable Items (In good, working condition) Bedding (other than pillows, mattresses, and box springs) Books. Children’s clothes and footwear.
Donating to Goodwill is easy! We happily accept donations of new or gently used items, including: Clothing and shoes. Coats and boots. Books, records, CDs, videotapes, and DVDs. Housewares, dishes, glassware, and small appliances. Collectibles and home décor.
FIND A LOCATION. Accepting items that cannot be sold in our stores creates an added cost for Goodwill and hinders our ability to fund our mission of providing free education, training, and employment services. WHAT TO DONATE. We offer free donation pickup service from your home in portions of Davidson and Williamson counties.
Where can I donate my stuff? Contact your local Goodwill to find out where you can drop off your donations or how you can have them picked up. Does Goodwill make house calls to pick up donations? Most Goodwills make house calls for furniture or other large items that are hard to transport.
