In the event that there is enough daylight for the 6 p.m. tour, boats depart the dock at 9:45 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6 p.m. Make sure you arrive early enough to check in. Honey Island Swamp is home to several different types of animals, including alligators, snapping turtles, snakes, raccoons, wild boar and different species of birds. Out of all the wildlife, we were both eager to see alligators in their natural habitat.
