Population growth. Ontario’s population reached 15,911,285 on January 1, 2024, with an increase of 109,517 residents during the fourth quarter of 2024. This compares to an increase of 94,218 people recorded in the same quarter of 2022. In calendar year 2023, the provincial population grew by 533,106 residents, an annual increase of 3.5 per cent.
