Fish Hatcheries Gallery. The department operates four hatcheries located at Farlington, Meade, Milford, and Pratt and a rearing pond at Woodson State Fishing Lake. Each contributes in its own way to supply the varied needs of Kansas anglers.

Every year we raise and stock over 100 million fish to support the recovery and restoration of imperiled species, recreational fishing, and Tribal subsistence fisheries.

Sep 29, 2022 · The Green Mountain State’s five fish hatcheries have been releasing more than 1.5 million fish into the lakes, ponds, rivers, and streams that cover Vermont’s landscape, helping to create fisheries in places that otherwise would have none.
This List of National Fish Hatcheries in the United States includes the 70 National Fish Hatcheries, seven Fish Technology Centers and nine Fish Health Centers that are administered as components of the National Fish Hatchery System by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Fish species raised at the Pratt Hatchery include walleye, wiper ( white bass / striped bass hybrid ), sauger, saugeye ( walleye /sauger hybrid), largemouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. Brood fish and forage fish are maintained in the ponds. Watch a video on the Pratt Hatchery.
