It can also download almost any wiki-based website, and supports a tool to grab other websites you might want to save offline. Kiwix runs on Windows, MacOS, most any Linux distribution, Android, and iOS.
Wikipedia is available for free download, in its entirety, at www.kiwix.org. I was able to download it at a public access point and transfer it to the hard drive of my home computer. Since that's a lot of content, there are no photos included.
