Whether you’re a non‑exclusive or exclusive contributor, your files will be searchable on iStock, Getty Images, and other distribution partners in our global network—but only by specific customers. Once you become a contributor, your images, videos and/or illustrations will be available online for customers to view and license. The cool part is that everything you submit to the iStock by Getty Images site (www.istock.com) will also be mirrored and available to customers at gettyimages.com.
The first is for the Essentials collection and allows you to sell the same images to other stock photography sites. The other is for the Signature Collection and does not allow you to sell any photos to any other stock photography sites. When applying, you can upload as many as 15 photos, 3 videos, or 15 illustrations.
iStock works with over 300,000 contributors globally, thousands of which are exclusive and create content solely for the platform. Contributing photographers apply by uploading 3–6 sample images, illustrations, or videos to the Contributor by Getty Images app, which is available on App Store and Google Play.
