What is the JLPT? CLICK HERE for information on taking the JLPT in the United States. The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) was developed in Japan, and has been offered since 1984 in countries all around the world as a means of evaluating the proficiency of non-native learners of Japanese.
Applications. The JLPT in the United States accepts online applications only. Application will be taken on a first-come first-served basis. Registration opens 9am PDT in a staggered sequence: N1: August 10 (Wed) N2: August 12 (Fri) . N3: August 15 (Mon) N4: August 17 (Wed) N5: August 19 (Fri)
