Jerry Yang. Yahoo! Yang and fellow Stanford University doctoral student, David Filo, created the precursor to Yahoo! to aid them in their use of the burgeoning world wide web. What began as a simple hobby eventually turned into one of the few success stories of the nineties Internet boom.
Widely recognized as a visionary and pioneer in the Internet technology sector, he was named one of the top 100 innovators in the world under the age of 35 by the MIT Technology Review in 1999. Yang is on Stanford University’s Board of Trustees, where he is a vice-chair.
