Unity 2000 is an event mini-series published by Acclaim Comics beginning in 1999. It was written by Jim Shooter with art by Jim Starlin. The series was planned to last for six issues, but only three were ever published, and the story remains permanently unfinished, however, Shooter has made the complete script available online in the meantime.[1]

A prelude story to the event, The Valiant Deaths of Jack Boniface, was published as two backup stories and double issue flipbooks with Shadowman (Volume 3) #3 and Shadowman (Volume 3) #4. This prelude established the concept of the Valiant Universe Multiverse and let Jim Shooter kill off (multiple versions of) Jack Boniface as predicted during the original Unity event (1992). The main story would then re-introduce the original versions of many characters, even the ones that were not created by Shooter; e.g. Bloodshot and Ivar, Timewalker.
