Jindřichův Hradec ([ˈjɪndr̝ɪxuːf ˈɦradɛts] ⓘ; German: Neuhaus) is a town in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 21,000 inhabitants. The historic town centre is well preserved and is protected by law as an urban monument reservation.
Mužský basketbalový tým BK Lions Jindřichův Hradec (jež je součástí klubu Basket Jindřichův Hradec) strávil v nejvyšší soutěži ještě delší čas než hokejisté. Působil v Národní basketbalové lize v letech 2012–2018 a znovu v sezóně 2021/22, když odkoupil licenci od Svitav, ovšem ihned znovu sestoupil.

Jindřichův Hradec je hrad přestavěný na zámek ve stejnojmenném městě v Jihočeském kraji. Nachází se na soutoku Nežárky a Hamerského potoka. Se svou rozlohou tří a půl hektaru je po Pražském hradu a zámku v Českém Krumlově třetím největším zámeckým komplexem České republiky.

About a fifth of the district territory in the east belongs to the historical land of Moravia . The relief is rugged and hilly except in the west, which belongs to a tectonic depression.
