Nagano Prefecture (長野県, Nagano-ken) is a landlocked prefecture of Japan located in the Chūbu region of Honshū. Nagano Prefecture has a population of 2,052,493 (as of 1 June 2019 [update] ) and has a geographic area of 13,561 square kilometres (5,236 sq mi ).
Ibaraki Prefecture was previously known as Hitachi Province.In 1871, the name of the province became Ibaraki.
