The first half of this was a slog to sit through. When Cage finally takes center stage at the halfway mark, that’s when Kill Chain becomes a lot more interesting. This is definitely more of a noir drama, so don’t expect this to be action-packed based on the poster.

Oct 19, 2023 · Although Nic Cage can do no wrong in my book this derivative film noir promises a lot but fails to deliver. After a good start, the director's attempt to manipulate cinematic time, like Tarantino, breaks down when we the audience are jerked into another story line that is a water-downed homage to the Euro-Crime dramas of the 1960's and 1970's and the Italian Giallo genre of the same time period.
The movie’s directors Simon Ardizzone, Russell Michaels and Sarah Teale focus on U.S. elections that have taken place since 2016. “Kill Chain” sounds the alarm that sinister forces that are inside and outside the U.S. are working to manipulate elections that are happening in 2020 and beyond.
