Thanks Joe but I have been able to, with the help of the support people at MasterCook, export all my recipes and then import them to that program so my recipes are safe, at least for now.

The preferred format to use is .fdxz, as it contains both the recipe data and photos in a compressed file. Start by exporting your recipes out of Living Cookbook into this format.    There's an option to manually activate but it requires an unlock key that is supposed to have been acquired from the living cookbook website. If anyone has an unlock key and wants to share it I'd really like to try it. Or any other suggestions to get it open. Just FYI for everyone else - the LCB file is just a zip file.
