Re: Marriott vacation club points-good, bad and ugly. 10 years ago. The points system is a scam. Owners who turned in their units for destination points can't even stay at their former "home" resort w/o spending more $$ on additional points. Bottom line--great deal---for Marriott.

Marriott Vacation Club is a total scam and drains you dry only to leave you stranded with no vacation but thousands of dollars poorer. I have been a club member for over 20 years and each year it goes down in customer service and availability.
