Mar 26, 2024 · Mary of Clopas is the most obscure of the three Marys. In John’s Gospel, she is identified with Jesus as simply “his mother’s sister” (Jn 19:25). One tradition holds she was the Virgin Mary’s sister-in-law. Mark tells us she was among the followers of Jesus who witnessed His teaching in Galilee and ministered to Him (cf. Mk 15:41).
