Jul 21, 2020 · The first Melkite Greek Catholic community in the United States was formed in New York in 1889 and the second in Chicago in 1890, as far as we know. The centennial of the presence of the Greek-Melkite Catholic Church in the United States was celebrated on the occasion of the 32nd Convention in July 1990 in West Paterson, New Jersey.
Welcome! We are a parish community of the Melkite Eparchy of Newton in the U.S. We are joined to the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, an Apostolic Church. We are Byzantine in our tradition and Catholic in our status. Our mission is to gather together in worship and thanksgiving to Almighty God, the Author of all good things.
