Aug 5, 2021 · Many Secretary of State transactions can now be completed online. Once your customer account is set up, you can go online to renew or replace your driver's license, state ID, or vehicle registration, request a duplicate title, track credentials you have ordered by mail, and more.

If you're eligible to renew your license or ID online, you will need: Your license/ID number. The last four digits of your Social Security number. Payment with credit or debit card (additional fees apply) or e-check/bank account number. Go to Online Services.
You can book an appointment up to six months in advance, with additional availability released each day at 8 a.m. and noon for the next day. To secure your spot, visit the official Online Services website or call the dedicated appointment line at 888-SOS-MICH (888-767-6424).
The Secretary of State will forward your name and registration information to Selective Service, where it will be held on file until your 18th birthday. When you turn 18, you will be automatically registered with Selective Service and provided with a confirmation by mail.
