   • Bep Voskuijl was the youngest of the helpers helping the people hiding in the Secret Annex. Anne considered her to be one of the ‘young people’ and they got along very well. In 1937, Bep started working for Otto Frank as an administrative employee. ‘Mr Frank liked her, and so did I.

   Who was Miep Gies?

   • Miep Gies was one of the helpers of the people hiding in the Secret Annex. After the arrest, she kept Anne's writings in a drawer of her desk. In 2010 she died, one hundred years old. This is her remarkable life story. Miep Gies was born on 15 February 1909 in Vienna (Austria) as Hermine Santrouschitz.
