Nov 8, 2023 · Two deputies were shot by a suspect in Robeson County on Tuesday morning, according to the sheriff. The suspect was out on bond after being charged with armed robbery and murder in separate 2022 cases. The sheriff criticized a Robeson County judge for giving bond to the shooting suspect. The judge responded to the sheriff a day after the shooting.
Jun 27, 2023 · Alex E. Taylor, 21, of Lumberton, was found dead and Nicky Jackson, 46, of Lumberton, had gunshot wounds. Jackson is charged with second-degree murder. He is being detained in South Carolina and will face additional charges after his extradition back to North Carolina.
