People that live on those sites only ever see the nasty shit people post, because the vast majority of us watch a video, maybe give a thumbs up, and move on. All the really asinine people feel a need to leave bad comments. It really is unfair to lump everyone who likes video games into that category.

I like the idea of N4G, but it seems a bit Sony fanboy heavy among other problems. It's not bad at all, but are there any alternatives other than the obvious (i.e. Digg and Reddit).
