Besides his extensive stage work, Weisser is also a prolific film and television actor, with over 90 credits to his name. Chiefly a character actor, he has starred in well-known and acclaimed films including Midnight Express, The Thing, Chaplin, Hocus Pocus, Schindler's List, and Pollock, and numerous titles directed by Albert Pyun.
Most recently he played Biedermann in The Arsonist at the Odyssey Theatre LA. He directed plays in San Francisco at the Magic Theatre and at the Los Angeles Marc Taper Forum's New Works Festival. His motion picture credits include: Midnight Express (1978), Heaven's Gate (1980), The Thing (1982), Three Amigos!

Oct 11, 2023 · Norbert Weisser (Norwegian pilot) Carpenter's affinity for the material was evident in 1978's Halloween, which featured a scene in which Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Tommy Doyle (Brian Andrews) watch Thing from Another World on television just before Michael Myers' murderous rampage throughout the neighborhood.
The Thing also features Norbert Weisser as one of the Norwegians, and an uncredited dog, Jed, as the Dog-Thing. The only female presence in the film is the voice of MacReady's chess computer, voiced by Carpenter's then-wife, Adrienne Barbeau .
