Nuri Pasha al-Said CH ( Arabic: نوري السعيد ; December 1888 – 15 July 1958) was an Iraqi politician during the Mandatory Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Iraq. He held various key cabinet positions and served eight terms as the Prime Minister of Iraq .

Mar 29, 2024 · Nuri al-Said, Iraqi army officer, statesman, and political leader who maintained close ties with Britain during and after the mandate period (1921–32) and worked toward Arab unity. A supporter of the Hashemite dynasty, he served as prime minister on 14 occasions. He was killed by a mob after the 1958 revolution.
