History of the Pantheon in Paris. Its original construction is due to Louis XV, who in 1764 and seriously ill promised to build a church dedicated to Saint Genevieve on the remains of an old abbey. During the French Revolution this church became a Pantheon It is one of the first neoclassical buildings in Paris, and in France in general.
General timings: Paris Pantheon is open every day of the week. From April 1 to September 30: Daily 10 AM to 6:30 PM. Last Entry: 5:45. From October 1 to March 31: Daily 10 AM to 6 PM. Last Entry: 5:15 PM. Closed on: The Pantheon remains closed on January 1, May 1, November 1 and 11, and December 25.
