Parsons's appearance in a benefit show at Madison Square Garden led to a contract with RKO Pictures. She began acting at age 6, and mostly did child roles, notably in Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942). But she is perhaps best remembered for one of her few adult roles, as the evil space tyrant "Cleolanta" on the TV show Rocky Jones, Space Ranger in 1954.
Rocky Jones, a leading member of the Space Ranger force, attempts to save the inhabitants of Ophecius, a planet about to collide with a moon. However, Cleolanta—the empress of the planet—is suspicious. While Rocky and his crew succeed in evacuating the planet in time, Cleolanta's pride and vanity are a major hindrance.
Cleolanta: Played by Patsy Parsons. Cleolanta is the Suzerain (queen) of the planet Ophecius. She was usually the force behind the troubles that befell the United Worlds, but secretly she had a crush on Rocky. She often berated her henchmen for not measuring up to him. Juliandra/Noviandra: Played by Ann Robinson.

The character of Cleolanthe was portrayed by Patsy Parsons, a former child star from the 1930's and 40's. Like most child stars, she had increasing difficulty in finding adult roles. The "Crash Of Moons" story arc marked the final appearance of her character in the series.
