They’re all somewhat threatening, acting as though I need to take action immediately or lose all my photos. Emails have the following titles: “Your account has been marked inactive. Manage your account.” “Your account has been marked inactive.
Photobucket’s recent email marketing is bizarre. Which brings us to the current round of emails. The problem is that Photobucket is lumbered with a huge number of legacy accounts; previous ‘free’ users that refused to pay the ransom demand and have simply abandoned their accounts.
Jul 27, 2023 · I went through this horseshit with photobucket last year when I got the email threatening to delete my account and immediately got the red "your account is over storage" warning. I forget how I got around it to delete stuff to bring my storage under the limit.
CA. Dec 8, 2022. Don't get scammed. Download your photos and leave. Just as someone else said, if you want to get your photos back, don't pay, and go to your account by clicking on 'my bucket' or your username. Or opening the photobucket website in another tab once you've logged in.

They f….d me over by breaking links to my forum linked images and tried holding me to ransom by demanding money to reinstate those links. Naturally, I just ignored the constant barrage of spam they sent to my email address.
