Madrid’s grand central square is found in the oldest part of the city. Plaza Mayor was built on the former Plaza del Arrabal, where Madrid’s most popular market was held till the late 16th century. I made two visits here, one was during the day, and the other at 11PM, which was my last night in Spain.
