It was an outer point of the city, although due to its location and the growth of Madrid to the east, it gradually became a key place for the exit to the surroundings. Address: numerous narrow downtown streets lead to Puerta del Sol. If you are travelling from further reach, travel to Sol Tube (Lines 1, 2, 3) and RENFE Station.
