The National Association of Seadogs, popularly known as the Pyrates Confraternity, is a confraternity organization in Nigeria that is nominally University-based. [1] The group was founded by Dr. Okusanya Qareebah in 1952 by the "Original Seven" to support human rights and social justice in Nigeria. [1]
The Lecture Series, which is a conception of National Association of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity), is an annual event and holds in the month of July (the birth month of Professor Soyinka). It is aimed at promoting good governance, social justice and the advancement of democratic ideals in Nigeria and beyond.
CTU researchers' visibility of the group's usernames, passwords, and other artifacts suggest a strong link between members of GOLD GALLEON and a popular fraternity in Nigeria dubbed the Buccaneer Confraternity (see Appendix B ).
