Location. Queen Elizabeth National Park (QENP) is in the Western Region of Uganda, spanning the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. The park is approximately 400 kilometres (250 mi) by road south-west of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.

The park is bookended by Lake George in the northeast and Lake Edward to the southwest, linked by a stretch of water known as the Kazinga Channel, and is contiguous with Virunga National Park in the DRC.
It is located in Kasese district in the western part of Uganda. The park boarders Virunga national park in DRC and Kibale National Park in Uganda crossing different districts for example Rubirizi, Kamwenge and Rukunjiri and is situated around the base of Rwenzori mountains and boarded by lake George in the east and lake Edward in the west.
