Resolute or Resolute Bay (Inuktitut: ᖃᐅᓱᐃᑦᑐᖅ, romanized: Qausuittuq, lit. 'place with no dawn' [7] ) is an Inuit hamlet on Cornwallis Island in Nunavut , Canada. It is situated at the northern end of Resolute Bay and the Northwest Passage and is part of the Qikiqtaaluk Region .

Resolute is the second most northerly community in Nunavut and Canada. It is sometimes called Resolute Bay, after its bay, the waterway into Parry Channel on the southern coast of Cornwallis Island, right in the middle of the Northwest Passage. Resolute is home to some of the greatest Inuit hunters in the world.
