Film submission deadlines. All submission materials (online entry form, entry fee and screener) should be delivered to IFFR by the following deadlines: Short films (up to 60 min.) completed before 1 July: 24 August 2021; Short films (up to 60 min.) completed after 1 July: 21 September 2021; VR Immersive: 21 September 2021
International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) offers a high quality line-up of carefully selected fiction and documentary feature films, short films and media art. The festival's focus is on recent work by talented new filmmakers. However, there is also room for retrospectives and themed programmes.
The 51st International Film Festival Rotterdam, is the 2022 edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam, which took place online from 26 January 2022 to 6 February 2022.
1) International films are required to have English subtitles. 2) Short films are 50 mins and under. Micro short is under 5 minutes. 3) To submit a film or script, you must have created the project yourself, own the rights or have permission from the content owner to submit the film to us.
May 1, 2024 · Submitting is free of charge. A film must be completed on or after January 1st, 2022 and can only be submitted through FilmFreeway. To do so, use the submission button above. Deadline for submitting is 1 May 2024. Every year, WFFR receives hundreds of submissions from around the world.
