About Us. Shockoe Bottom Clay Studios and Gallery is located in the historic Shockoe Bottom and established in 2015. We house 10 ceramic studios and the ceramic artwork of another 30+ regional and local artists. The gallery has an ever-changing inventory of high quality functional and sculptural ceramic from nationally known and emerging artists.
