tl;dr - As a competitive game, SFV is amazing. The mechanics are a perfect storm of accessibility, freedom and strategy. Netcode changes are amazing. You can play real Street Fighter across longer effective distances over the previous game. 5 out of 5.
It is the most barebones Street Fighter release ever, people have a reason to complain if they feel they didn't get the value they wanted. This is THE fighting game franchise, people expect a lot from it.
