Sukiennice Museum. The Gallery of 19th-Century Polish Art at Sukiennice ( Polish: Galeria Sztuki Polskiej XIX wieku w Sukiennicach ), is a division of the National Museum, Kraków, Poland. The gallery is housed on the upper floor of the Renaissance Sukiennice Cloth Hall in the center of the Main Market Square in Old Town Kraków.

On Friday, May 17, the museum is closed during the day, we only open for the Night of Museums. Tuesday is the day of free entry to permanent exhibitions at the NMK. The museum is closed on Mondays. On May 19, 2024, the Chełmoński Hall in the Gallery of Polish 19th Century Art will be open until 16.00.

The Sukiennice building houses one of the largest permanent exhibitions of 19th-century Polish painting and sculpture in Poland. In the mid-fourteenth century, on the site of medieval stalls located in the middle of the Main Market Square, a Gothic hall was erected and then rebuilt in the sixteenth century in the Renaissance style.

Exhibitions. The art gallery is located on the first floor of the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice), in the heart of the Main Market Square. It has four enormous rooms in which paintings and sculptures of various periods are displayed. The Bacciarelli Room houses classicist paintings, the Michałowski Room has Romanticism works of art.
