Tom Corbett, Space Cadet: With Frankie Thomas, Al Markim, Jan Merlin, Jack Grimes. Four centuries into the future, Cadets Tom Corbett, Roger Manning and Astro are training to become Solar Guards. Their ship, the "Polaris" took them to numerous adventures, usually natural catastrophes rather than villains.
Astro, a genius with a toolbox, freezes taking his nucleonics test and it looks like he may flunk out of the Space Academy. While awaiting his fate, he joins Tom, T.J. and Eric on a flight into deep space and must repair their spaceship's engines when Captain Strong unknowingly fires space torpedoes at their vessel.
Twin threats imperil Tom and his men on a remote space station: a liquid compound is evaporating into the station's atmosphere sickening the crew while saboteurs plan to destroy the base with a nuclear time bomb.
While conducting a space trial for a new type of speedy scout ship, Commander Arkwright, Captain Strong and Cadet Rattison's vessel veers into the path of the Sun after an electrical short-circuit. Only the tiny Polaris, with its crew of cadets, can save their friends of a fiery death. 7.8 /10. Rate.
Tom, Astro and T.J. are delivering a battered spaceship to a Venusian shipyard to be junked when the engines malfunction and the cadets are forced to abandoned ship. The three men land in a remote swamp and, after reuniting manage to find their way to a rescue station.
