This led to Lip getting a small role in Coppola’s The Godfather, where he had an uncredited appearance as a wedding guest.
Appeared in four films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: The Godfather (1972), Dog Day Afternoon (1975), Raging Bull (1980) and Goodfellas (1990). Of those, The Godfather (1972) is a winner in the category. He and his son Nick appeared, both uncredited, in The Godfather (1972).
