    • Majesty - Blind Guardian. The intro for this song is amazingly misleading too. You get an electronic carousel tune that sounds pleasing, and then, BAM! Amazingly fast guitars and Hansi's aggressive and amazing voice.
    • Ride the Sky - Helloween. "Send me a sign, want to leave it all behind. I'll be leaving the hands of doom. Rearrange the master plan, take the future in my hands.
    • Fast as a Shark - Accept. Fast as a shark is a masterpiece for its time and still is No 1! The german bands has much faster/heavier enlgish songs than the american bands!
    • Shot to Hell - Laaz Rockit. This should be in the top 5, at least top 10.

Canadian tech death metallers Archspire get to kick this one off "Fathom Infinite Depth" track off their 2014 album "The Lucid Collective." That's some fast strumming, and some fast singing.

We're still in the realm of tech death metal, but we've now moved to Italy, where Fleshgod Apocalypse reign supreme as one of the fastest acts around. They made this week's list with "The Violation" track off their 2011 record "Agony."

"Bleed" also got a solid amount of votes, but it "War" that gets to represent the Meshuggah boys this week. The tune serves as the opener of the band's 2001 album "Rare Trax."

"Dyers Eve" was written by Metallica frontman James Hetfield as a rant against his parents, and it's certainly a fast-paced ditty. The song was performed live for the first time 16 years after it was released on 1988's "...And Justice for All."

Machine gun drums at the beginning make it very clear what this one's about - tech death metal legends Nile and "Cast Down the Heretic." The track was released as a part of the band's 2005 effort "Annihilation of the Wicked."

The frantic pace of "Jesus Built My Hot Rod" places Ministryat No. 7. Could this one be the ultimate fast-driving song?

"Through the Fire and Flames" actually got the poo award in the voting process, but "Fallen World" placed the fast-paced UK power metallers DragonForceever so close to Top 5.

Starts kinda slow, gets really fast and intricate afterwards. Megadeth is actually playing this tune live these days, but as some of you have noted - how about "Take No Prisoners"? That one's also pretty darn fast.

Silver medal this week goes to death metal champions Cannibal Corpse and their ridiculously fast "Frantic Disembowelment."

... As for honorable mentions, we'll just point out that the following acts got a decent amount of attention: Slaughterbox, Devin Townsend, Henker, Macabre, Behemoth, Anaal Nathrakh, Pig Destroyer, Fear Factory, The Berzerker, Dark Angel.
