Dec 4, 2011 · TRANSCENDENCE was a 5-piece progressive metal band formed in 1998 by bassist Kirk WOOD and drummer John Von ROSENBERG. The band eventually found, through various auditions, side projects, and classifieds, guitarist Jeff FORD, vocalist Greg DREW, and keyboardist John HOWSER.
The guitar tone is very similar to the six-string-bass-rhythm-guitar made famous by Necromantia, as is Transcendence’s adeptness for creating occult atmospheres through filthy, quintessentially evil sounding riffs.

New Transcendence gave the album an almost perfect score 9/10 and saying: "In a word, Imminence are unique.
