    We offer advanced training and research programmes to postgraduates - students who wish to continue their studies after obtaining their first degree.
    We admit around 20 students per year to our intensive one-year MPhil programme, which prepares them for a career in the chemical sciences.

  5. Research interests in the department cover a broad of chemistry ranging from molecular biology to geophysics. The department is located on the Lensfield Road, next to the Panton Arms on the South side of Cambridge. In December 2020, it was renamed for 30 years in recognition of a donation from Dr Yusuf Hamied, an alumnus of the department.

  6. Chemistry at Cambridge aims to support fundamental science of the highest quality in a first-class physical environment. The Department includes a large number of internationally recognised research groups covering an exceptionally broad spectrum of chemical science ranging from molecular biology to geophysics.
