- When is the best time to do the trek? The first thing you need to consider when planning the Valbona Theth trek is what time of year to go. Northern Albania has pronounced seasons – it’s not possible to trek in the Albanian Alps in winter due to heavy snowfall.
- Which direction is better? Theth to Valbone or Valbone to Theth? There are two ways to do this trek: By walking from Valbona to Theth (like we did) or by doing the route in reverse.
