The Valentine, formerly known as the Valentine Museum and the Valentine Richmond History Center, is a private museum dedicated to the history of the city. Opened in 1898, it is located at 1015 East Clay Street, a block from the Museum and White House of the Confederacy. Founded by Mann S. Valentine II, it was the first museum in Richmond.
