Jul 2, 2001 · In 1964 Denver dealt him to the New York Jets in a nine-player trade. "Happiest years of my life," he says of his time in the Big Apple. "They take care of their athletes in New York." McDaniel, who was on the field for the debut of Joe Namath in 1965, drew plenty of attention himself. Soon the Shea Stadium fans were chanting, "Wa-HOO! Wa-HOO!"
