March 2021 Update. We expanded the Waymo Open Dataset to also include a Motion dataset comprising object trajectories and corresponding 3D maps for over 100,000 segments. We have updated this repository to add support for this new dataset. Please refer to the Quick Start.

Our new dataset consists of 1150 scenes that each span 20 seconds, consisting of well syn- chronized and calibrated high quality LiDAR and camera data captured across a range of urban and suburban ge- ographies. It is 15x more diverse than the largest cam- era+LiDAR dataset available based on our proposed geo- graphical coverage metric.
