May 16, 2011 · 05/20/11 08:34 AM. 43 posts. We recently spent two nights (one full day) in Parma and a travel day in Modena on the way from from MPX to Bologna. Both are lovely. Both justify more time than we allowed. Both are also nice stops for a few hours on the way to Bologna if that is all the time you have.
Oct 28, 2015 · 10/28/15 12:42 PM. 1709 posts. Modena is pleasant but too small. Bologna is good, and great for transport, but it's so big that it's time consuming to leave by car. Stay near Parma and visit the others. You can also consider Torrechiara, Castel'Arquata, Fontenellata, Busseto and Piacenza depending on your interests.

Mar 23, 2019 · We would like to stay in the central part of the city so we can walk to many sites. Thanks in advance. Mercure Stendahl in Parma. It's a business hotel I have stayed at many times and will again in August of this year. 10 minute walk from the train station. We stayed at the Palazzo Dalla Rosa Prati, in the center of the historical center.
