    • SEC. For the fourth season in a row, the SEC produced the national champion, as No. 1 Georgia rolled past No. 4 TCU, 65-7, scoring 55 unanswered points in the College Football Playoff title game on its way to its second straight crown.
    • Big Ten. Two Big Ten programs — Michigan and Ohio State — reached the playoffs in 2023, as the East continues to reign supreme. Quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards should leave little cause for concern for this year’s Wolverines, provided they can stay healthy.
    • Pac-12. USC, Oregon, Washington and resurgent Colorado headline the Conference of Champions, and the league boasts future first-round draft talent at quarterback.
    • ACC. The conference’s prized jewel, Clemson, went 11-3 overall last season, disappointing by the Tigers’ standards. It’s Cade Klubnik’s team this year, and he’ll enjoy the play calling of fast-rising offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, who arrives from TCU, as Clemson looks to restore its national relevance.
