Feb 22, 2024 · Following the recent launch of AKB48’s sister group in Malaysia, KLP48, the company has finally opened the auditions for its first generation group to debut in August. The audition is open to females aged between 13 and 23 of any nationality as long as they are willing to move to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, or anywhere around the world.
AKB48 has announced that they will be holding auditions for the 19th generation members. The announcement of this new member audition was made during a concert held at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan. Applications for the audition have been opened on the official AKB48 website on the same day from 20:00 until November 19, 2023, at 23:59 JST.
