He entrusted Architect and designer Antoni Gaudí with the task of renovating the entire building and, most importantly, gave him artistic freedom.
From 1995 their rooms for meetings and conventions are rented and in 2002 opened its doors to the public becoming one of the icons of Catalan architecture and the city of Barcelona. 2005 – The Casa Batllo has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
