- Blogger creator Ev Williams and NYU student Jack Dorsey had a momentous brainstorm. Twitter was born at a brainstorming event hosted by board members at the now-defunct podcasting company Odeo, which was founded by Noah Glass and Twitter's first CEO, Evan "Ev" Williams.
